Ryan Giggs, Jenson Button and the rest weren’t the only super stars at this year Sports Personality of The Year Awards – a team of Radiowaves reporters were invited to get an exclusive behind the scenes view of the prestigious event. The intrepid reporters from schools in Manchester and Northampton created podcasts and videos of the event and posted them on Radiowaves, the safe social network for schools. They met with host Jake Humphrey and also the outside broadcast production team so they could see first hand what it takes to make such a big broadcasting event. It was a great opportunity for the reporters to put their media training into action, mix with TV professionals and add their personalities to this years awards.
