NUMUs 2007 got off to a great start with a national launch at the inspirational State of Play conference. Since then we have gone from strength to strength with over 300 schools joining and thousands of compositions being published. The NUMU community has become a fantastic peer to peer learning community and has even spawned its own celebrity blogger – Making Sparks
NUMU Networks were launched in September and are already being used by Lancashire, Nottingham, Leeds, Barking and Dagenham and Hertfordshire to celebrate, coordinate and communicate with students in their region.
Roland and Music Sales helped us run hugely successful competitions this year; rewarding the most listened to artist in November, December and January with some enviable prizes. Check them out on NUMU to hear for yourself.
Throughout 2007 the NUMU team were regularly invited to speak at events and conferences across the country including: Gigbeth, South West Sound, SSAT, and NAME. 2008 looks set to be equally busy with workshops at Music Learning Live, SAME, SSAT, Musical Futures and London International Music Show.
Also In 2008 Quick Start Music launches – recommended by the Music Manifesto this innovative enterprise module has been developed for Young Enterprise and British Music Rights.
